Q: What are the Orbit Labels made out of?

An elastomeric material that is compliant with Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Regulation 21CFR 177.2600. This material is in the same class of material used in pacifiers and baby bottle nipples. This material was chosen because it is non-toxic and has durable qualities to withstand normal use.

Q: What containers will the Orbit Labels fit? (i.e. baby bottles, sippy cups, water bottles, etc.)

They were designed to fit the traditional 4 oz. baby bottles by Gerber and Playtex, but will fit most major brands found in stores today, including Dr. Brown's standard 8 oz bottles purchased in January 2010 or more recently. Unfortunately, they do NOT fit Dr. Brown's 4 oz. bottles.

The Orbit Labels will also fit all of the sippy cups on the market today. That includes Thermos Foogo sippy and straw bottles. Orbit Labels are also great for labeling standard sized water bottles and soda cans.

The Orbit Labels do NOT fit Nalgene water bottles or the Thermos Food Container, as both of these are considered too wide.

Q: Why would I want my child's photo on a name label?

Children that are yet unable to read can easily identify themselves in photos. These labels are another method of minimizing germs and mix-ups. The labels also help caregivers with more easily identifying the rightful owner of an item. The added photo provides them with more than just a name. Our labels can be used for identifying not only bottles, sippy cups and food containers but all types of items, including bats, rackets, helmets, sport bottles, camp gear, etc

top

Q: How many colors can I select per package of Orbit Labels or Adhesive Labels?

If you are placing an order for Custom Orbit Labels, you may select one of eight colors (Sky Blue, Hibiscus Pink, Blue Jay, Wild Violet, Pumpkin Orange, Ocean Blue, Pinkly Purple, or Kiwi Green). If you are selecting one of our 200 inventory names, the colors have been predetermined. The color for each pre-printed label is listed adjacent to the name in the drop down list on the Pre-Printed labels order page. For the Adhesive Labels, our packages were designed with creative and colorful themes that are printed on one color of your choosing (Blueberry, Watermelon, Grape, Lemon, Green Apple, Cherry, or Pink Lemonade).

Q: How many labels do I need?

For Orbit Labels, we suggest one for each item you wish to label. A wonderful feature of the Orbit Labels is that you can place them on an item that is exposed to repeated dishwashing, boiling or microwaving. They are also easily transferable and reusable on other containers.

For the Adhesive Labels, we suggest one for each item you wish to label. Once again, a great feature of the Adhesive Labels is that they are microwave and dishwasher-safe, so your child's container will stay labeled even after repeated use.

top

Q: Do I need to remove the Orbit Labels before placing in the dishwasher, sterilizing or microwaving?

No, one of the fantastic features about the Orbit Label is that it can stay on the item you have labeled. You do not need to remove it unless you wish to use it on something else. InchBug, LLC has designed and tested the Orbit Labels to withstand repeated dishwashing, boiling and microwaving. The Orbit Label will not peel, fade or wash away!

top

Q: Are Photo Labels and other Adhesive Labels dishwasher and microwave safe?

top

Q: How durable is an Orbit Label?

Orbit Labels were specifically designed for containers 30 ounces or less and other items such as a standard size flash light. They are manufactured using a high quality material that has been tested to withstand dishwashing, boiling temperatures and microwaving. Due to the placement of the product on various items it is difficult to predict a life expectancy for the product as there are numerous variables - over stretching, excessive exposure to intense sunlight may cause color fading, etc.

If we are shipping outside of the state of Texas, we are not required to collect Texas sales tax.

top

Q: What is the difference between "Pre-Printed" names and "Custom" names on the Orbit Labels?

We offer approximately 200 pre-printed, or inventory, names that are sold in two (2) predetermined colors (Dodger Blue or Scrub Green). Our pre-printed names contain three (3) labels per package for $8.95. Our Custom name labels are available in eight colors (Sky Blue, Hibiscus Pink, Blue Jay, Wild Violet, Pumpkin Orange, Ocean Blue, Pinkly Purple, or Kiwi Green). Our Custom name packages contain four (4) labels per package for $13.95 for one or two lines of text. You may add an icon for $0.75.

top

Q: Why would I need two lines of text on a custom label?

If you wanted to list a first and last name that exceeded 17 characters including spaces, you could place the last name on second line. You can also utilize the second line to list allergies or a phone number.

top

Q: I have had my labels on my child's cups for months now and I use the dishwasher to clean them. I noticed a faint white haze is in the letters - how can I get rid of this?

Use a small brush or sponge to scrub letters to remove haze developed from dishwashing detergent.

top

Q: What are non-personalized allergy alerts for?

Some parents use these to specifically label any food related storage containers or drink containers. Extras can be used on children's clothes during the first few days of school/day care or on field trips so chaperones can be easily alerted to a child's allergy.

top

Q: Can I choose a color other than white for the Personalized Allergy Labels?

Due to the serious nature of allergies, we did not want the allergy icons to get lost in a colored label. We understand the need for caregivers to easily notice a label that has important information pertaining to a child's health. Therefore, personalized rectangle allergy labels are on white labels with black font. You do have the choice of font style.

top

No, your photo will not be retouched.

top

Q: I have two children, can I make half my order with child A's name and the other half with child B's name?

Unfortunately, we are unable to split orders. This is the case for Adhesive Labels and Orbit Labels. You may consider ordering labels with your last name only so everyone in the family can use them.

top

Q: Can I have all of my Adhesive Labels printed with the same icon?

At this time we can only produce labels as they are described. You will receive the designs pictured in the theme that you have selected.

top

Q: Are there any restrictions as to what is printed/uploaded for Adhesive Labels?

We will not produce an order if the material submitted for personalization is deemed obscene, offensive, abusive, harmful, vulgar or otherwise objectionable.
